Did You Survive ACA Reporting?
This post is for Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) required to comply with the Affordable Care Act. We hope you find it useful.
As we move past ACA reporting deadlines, how did your company survive ACA reporting?
If your tracking and reporting experience was stressful or cumbersome, it’s always easy to switch over to one of our ACA solutions.
Some of our new customers tell us that they chose our easy-to-use ACA Software or ACA Full Service option because they were tracking manually.
Though the reporting deadlines have past, you can switch over to our solutions at any time if you are unhappy with your current solution.
One new customer described their experience as “awful” because their ACA reporting service was unresponsive to their questions.
Their emails went unanswered, and they called but were put on hold for hours. In addition, they ended up with filing error notifications from the IRS that could have been avoided.
This year they turned the entire process over to us, using our ACA Full Service option – just provide a spreadsheet with employee data, and we do the rest.
They successfully filed, and the entire process was easy and painless.
Other customers say their prior experience with manual tracking was “painful” and a “headache.” Although many manual trackers were able to file, and without receiving penalties, they describe the whole process as extremely difficult.
Our IRS-certified ACA Software is affordable and comprehensive. Uploading employee data requires a simple spreadsheet with just a few rows and columns of information.
Our software provides monthly status reports and is easy-to-use. We are also IRS-approved to optionally file on behalf of our customers.
It can be easy to underestimate the good that HR employees who have the time to focus on personnel matters can accomplish. This may seem obvious but, from another perspective, the effects of an over-worked, distracted HR department can be serious.
There can be missed review dates, slow email response, or entirely overlooked communications which can diminish morale and make staff feel less valued. Sensitive matters go unaddressed, leading to trouble that could have been avoided if caught earlier.
The reporting process itself is manageable but can be tedious. It’s capturing and analyzing the data that these reports summarize that is the real challenge of ACA compliance.
Many of our customers are HR professionals who are very busy and don’t have the time – or sometimes the expertise – to easily track ACA employee-related data manually.
Sometimes they are using their payroll provider and doing most of the work already. Or they use an end-of-year filing service that doesn’t help manage data throughout the year.
Sometimes we have customers come to us for filing only, as they have tracked the appropriate data throughout the year but have not obtained a TCC code, and they want to hand the filing over to us.
We are here to help answer ACA-related questions to help you get started with the software setup. We also provide optional support for extra training and help if needed.
